Having grown up on a farm, I learned a very strong work ethic. At the age of 12 I started my first business of raising beef cattle. This taught me the importance of being responsible and accountable and helped pay for my college tuition at the University of Minnesota.Throughout college, my jobs were sales related. My “Advanced Sales” professor pointed to me in class one day and said, “YOU will be in sales one day!” She was correct, and it has been wonderful. I have been in the field of sales for nearly 30 years.After college, my career path went from lobbyist to account executive for a recycling firm to a sales rep for a corporate construction rental and sales company where I worked with the construction industry for over 10 years. All these jobs have benefited me in my real estate career in how I’ve been able to carry over knowledge from those positions to the one I am in now.Real estate is truly my passion. My purpose is to utilize my experience, leadership, dedication, and my network to guide my clients through the most pleasant real estate journey they can possibly have. SRES® designees are certified senior specialists and astute to the financial and emotional challenges senior clients face when they sell a long-held family home.Some quick facts about me. I’ve sold over 550 homes in my 16 years as a Realtor. I’ve volunteered for leadership positions with the MN Realtors including current Chair of the Forms Committee, former Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, Board of Trustees, Major Investor of RPAC and on the St. Paul Association of Realtors, I have served on the Board of Directors and serve on the Facilities Group. In addition to this, I attend the National Association of Realtors Mid-Year Convention where we meet with our US Senators and Congressional Representatives from Minnesota in order to help protect and promote home ownership by sharing with them real life stories relating to taxes, flood insurance, affordability and more. I’m scheduled to serve on the National Association of Realtors Board of Directors for a term of 2020 – 2022. These leadership opportunities present opportunities of networking, building a better knowledge of our industry, and serving our industry for the betterment of ethical real estate transactions and consumer representation.
