In my role as Market Manager Teknion Limited. I liaise with clients, and furniture dealership personnel to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of the products and services that Teknion is able to provide for them. I help to come up with creative solutions to unique situations and communicate with Teknion designers and manufacturing to produce the best possible products. I provide answers to technical questions through out the design and ordering process as well as help to remove any roadblocks during manufacturing. I also ensure that any issues or deficiencies that are encountered during a project are taken care of in a efficient and timely manner. Show less

As an ESL Cnvoersation Teacher it was my responsobility to plan daily lessons based around a theme of either current affairs, situational issues, or day to day activites. I would build vocabulary lists, provide instant feedback and constructive critisism. I was required to keep a weekly log on the progress of each of my students as well as semester report cards. I often filled in teaching the adolescent class as well and had a group of private students that I tutored.

As the first Store Manager for the EQ3 Calgary location it was my responsobility to set the store up from scratch, working with the contractors to ensure the store was completed on time, recruiting, hiring and training the staff as well as arranging the delivery, unpack and visual set up of the initial product. Beyond that I was reponsible for the day to day operations of the store, staffing, budgets, and sales targets.

I started with Ikea Calgary as the Assistant Manager in the Lighting department. I was responsible for scheduling, hiring and training co-workers for this area as well as the day to day operations with in the department, ordering and stocking of product and sales budgets. When the Ikea Calgary store relocated to a much larger location in Deerfoot Medows I was part of the project team responsible for the re-training of all current and new store co-orkers on the new systems implamentation. When the new location opened I transfered to the Activites and Oasis Department where I was responsible for liasing with all the various product departments with in Ikea to allocate activities bins and promotional displays throughout the store.
