Laura was extremely dedicated to the committee and was never afraid to go head-to-toe with someone in order to get what was needed for the project.", "Laura and I worked together as my intern at Thomson West and as my selected student for the University of Minnesota Graphic Design mentor program. Because of my introduction to Laura was during her "infant" stages as a designer I was one of the lucky ones to watch her grow and develop into what I think is best designers I have had the chance to work with. Laura has the ability to be both left and right brained which I find to be a rare characteristic as a designer. She is able to critically think through the creative process and then in turn present creative ideas that were original yet aligned to assigned request. Besides Laura's creative abilities, she is a simply a pleasure to work with. There were never times that I felt that she did not appreciate the work she was doing, nor did she ever act negatively towards any critical feedback on her designs as both an intern and as mentee. Laura would be a valuable asset to any company, without a doubt.", and "Laura was one of the longest serving and more reliable volunteers I had serve on the Emerging Designers Committee. As a founding member of the group, she helped recognize a need for programming and resources for entry-level designers in the AIGA Minnesota design community. She was a strong leader of the web group where her dedication to completing a brand new website showed. She put a lot of effort into organizing and executing the plans for our site, which she followed through to the final launch. Laura did an excellent job of staying on track, while guiding and coordinating the companies who designed and constructed the site. The result was a website of resources that could be useful to anyone interested in the Twin Cities graphic design community. Laura was a great volunteer and asset to our committee and I'm thankful to have served alongside her."
