As an employment lawyer, I represent corporate clients and nonprofit agencies in a wide range of matters including the defense of federal, state and local discrimination claims, workplace and sexual harassment charges, disability claims, wage and hour issues, FMLA disputes, employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, general contract claims, and other business tort claims.I provide ongoing employment advice and training seminars to companies, including management training to new and existing supervisors. I work with company leadership to implement and develop effective employment policies and procedures. I regularly represent clients before numerous local, state, and federal administrative agencies and courts across the nation which enforce employment laws including the EEOC. I handle internal company investigations involving high level company executives accused of wrongdoing, which requires discretion and confidentiality. I also represent insurance companies to defend lawsuits on behalf of their clients who have been sued by former employees and am approved as panel counsel under their policies. I am also a certified mediator and use those skills to be an effective negotiator on behalf of clients.
