Capitalizing on scientific researches, Shaping Care provides evidence-based design, custom made colour and trend research.Colours can influence our lives in ways that go beyond the aesthetic. They can be used as a non-pharmacological medicine. Scientists have found that color activate different places in our brain, puts our mind in an unknown setting and let us act differently without being aware of it.Looking ahead we see a healthier future. A future in which ‘well being’ is the focus, a future designed around the customers and their patients.Person centered care is the core of all our projects. As designers, we have the ability to shape products, translate scientific researches and exceed the needs of our customers. By engaging the end-user in the process, we define novel ways of care.

I am driven by the need to find those answers. While working in multi disciplinary teams I mix and question the code of each discipline by stretching its boundaries. The area in between, where the disciplines overlap, is the area of my expertise. The input from different disciplines creates a rich and surprising outcome.

A ‘what if…’ question is the starting point of a probes program. What if this would be the situation in 15 years from now. What could that mean? A probe process starts with a radical proposition, an extreme future perspective. To stimulate your creative thinking, your imagination. You don’t have to think about reality, about feasibility, you’re unrestrained. Use your imagination to think and visualize a future where things are possible that we can hardly imagine today. Probing is a design-driven research methodology to gather insights in the intrinsic drivers, believes, wishes, dreams and values of people. A probe is a visualisation of a possible future situation, provocative, empathic, confronting, meant to provoke spontaneous reactions and emotions. These insights feed the debate; politically, economically, socially and ecologically for different, including unlikely, developments in the world. In a probes program we want to identify the inspiration and opportunities for the concepts of tomorrow, for products, services, new business models, new processes, situations and collaborations.

After my graduation I independently worked several private and personal commissions. At the same time, I gained experience as a team player and improved my technical skills while working as an interior designer, member of the design team, at Studio M10 Architecture and Urban Design. I learned to handle the program, made designs and 3D models and worked on technical drawing plans, sections and details, material proposals, etcetera. My expertise of 9 years in the field of design comes from various jobs, studies and different internships but through this professional practice at Studio M10 over 5 years of experience I strengthened my technical drawing skills, team playing abilities. I worked for strick deadlines and tenders, improved my knowledge in material and I understand the realities of working in a commercial company.
