I am co-founder and responsible for business development, partnerships and strategy. ThickSkin creates bold and ambitious theatre; reaching and inspiring young, new and representative audiences across the world through our distinctive physicality and cinematic style. We nurture talent across all areas of theatre-making, providing a springboard for artists who are ready to take a leap. Our work draws on many styles to create visceral and multi-layered performances that tell stories in new and inspiring ways. From mid-scale touring productions to 360° immersive VR experiences, we create work that is rooted in contemporary culture. I provide support to arts companies and charities towards strategic planning and implementation, helping move their business forward whilst staying true to their core values and vision. I'm interested in supporting artists by building an infrastructure that enables their work to flourish. The Anvil with ANU Productions

As a senior manager and member of the Finance Committee, I took a leading role in setting and implementing financial strategy and income generation, and I was a key player in the business planning process. I provided business support to all departments, to ensure maximum impact of activity delivered. I acted as Company Secretary and interim Head of Operations from December 2017 to July 2018. I was also a Director for Clean Break Productions – a trading subsidiary of the charity.

Project Manager for the Chorus Of Others/Fatherland by Frantic Assembly, MIF and Royal Exchange Theatre, managing recruitment and participation of 80 community performers.Project Manager for Street Poem by Underworld and MIF, managing the site of a visual art installation and supporting participants with lived experience of homelessness.

Providing consultancy services towards the development of the company’s Finance, HR and Administrative systems, and overseeing the implementation of recommended improvements.

Associate Producer for Beautiful Burnout UK and International tour, in co-production with National Theatre of Scotland.

Productions include: Survivor, a large scale music, dance and visual arts collaboration between Hofesh Shechter and Antony Gormley, coproduced by and performed at The Barbican; and a commission for Hermès at the Linbury Studios, Royal Opera House.

Having joined the company as Administrator in 2006, I was promoted to Education Manager in 2007 and General Manager in 2009. During this employment I instigated a professional development scheme to grow a team of associate directors/practitioners. I developed a programme of training workshops, skills sharing opportunities, apprenticeships and established progression routes through the company and into the wider industry. I also initiated and launched the Ignition Project – a UK-wide vocational training programme for young men to address lack of opportunity for male physical performers.
