I'm a passionate and experienced educator with specializations in elementary learning, visual art, health studies and special education. My teaching practice prioritizes inquiry-based learning in an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students are given the tools to thrive. I serve as a member of Eyelevel artist-run center's board of directors as well as serving on their programming committee. I represented Eyelevel as a delegate in the Artist-run Center and Collectives Association of Canada (ARCCA) conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba in October, 2023. I also serve on the programming committee with Visual Arts Nova Scotia. Alongside my teaching practice, I am a visual artist based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia.
