As Owner Assortment Specialists I am managing the team of Assortment Specialists, who are all part of a category team at Coolblue. Being responsible for this team means I am coördinating the process of prioritizing vacancies, constantly improving the on-boarding programme, coaching the coaches and assessing the Assortment Specialists. Actually all things to make the team and the people grow! My biggest achievement so far is to grow this team from 7 to 25 well-performing heroes in one year. Furthermore I am in close coöperation with the department Assortment & Cross-Sell, the knowledge centre for the Assortment Specialists' discipline, to make sure information flows are efficiënt and, most importantly, effective.

As Owner Cross-Sell I am responsible for driving the innovation of cross-sell opportunities on the websites of Coolblue, in the physical stores and at the customer services department. This is mainly done by developing and optimizing processes, (new) tools and dashboards in coöperation with the Assortment Specialists, business analysts and the product owner of our development team. Next to this I am coaching all the Assortiment Specialists, who operate in the category teams, on their cross-sell skills (sharing knowledge, improve analysis and practical know-how's). My goal is to make them excel in implementing their cross-sell strategies.

As a Cross-Sell manager I am responsible to help online customers to complete their initial purchase in order to improve their product experience and to improve the margins per order for Coolblue. This includes advising customers on additional useful products or services and to make sure Coolblue has those additional relevant products in the assortment. I base my decisions mainly on (customer) data from the internal Business Intelligence tool and starting up & evaluating tests on the websites. Being part of a category team I work closely together with multiple disciplines such as a Buyer, Stock Planner, Conversion Manager, Product Support Specialists and Product Editors. Next to that I am part of the Cross-Sell managers team in which I take responsibility to train and coach part of the teammembers. As a Medior Cross-Sell manager I am part of the biggest category team working on the cross-sell strategies and assortments for the following product categories: Laptops, tablets and desktops; Network and storage; Printers and office supplies.
