The role requires liaising with multiple teams within the Westminster City Council in order to respond to public concerns regarding potential breaches within the borough. The role is autonomous and self driven, requiring factual and accurate reporting and strong project management in order to maintain the values of Westminster City Council. Project Management and CRM tasks:Management of site breaches/ complaints within the Council’s CRM system and ensuring all communication is uploaded with up-to-date status report;Providing ongoing communications to internal and external stakeholders (MPs, Site Managers, etc); Undertaking follow up inspections in order to assess compliance in line with local regulation.Investigation and Enforcement tasks: Undertaking pre-inspection investigations where relevant, in order to understand complex planning history or case specific considerations; Attending sites inspections and obtaining photographs relevant to the alleged breach; Liaising with necessary stakeholders in order to ascertain the facts relevant to the alleged breach. These include freeholders, leaseholders, occupants, employees, contractors, neighbours etc. Reporting tasks:Collating and assessing inspection materials in order to undertaking relevant reporting; Analysis of breaches in a quickly digestible format, translating the key considerations and documentations to the Senior Planning Officers assessment; Provision of factual reporting to Planning Officers, in order to allow for the determination of breaches; Making recommendations for appropriate action based on the evidence gathered during inspections.

During the placement period, extensive skills were development through an applied understanding of strategic planning principles and key legislative processes within Queensland's planning framework.Throughout the placement, involvement and experience was gained through due diligence assessment, site visitations and investigations, attending client and project meetings, assisting with the preparation of major and complex town planning development applications, constraint reports for proposed developments, potential client research tasks and consulting various councils or relevant clients.
