I will be retiring from Focus at the end of March 2015, I was employed with Focus starting in 1998, initially working with people of disability and their job related issues, through the Opportunities Fund Program.This role evolved over time to encompass my involvement with a wider range of services and programs to all clients seeking employment services at Focus. As a Job Coach, Career Counselor-Case Manager, and most recently a "Client Service Professional" I have been actively involved with the Client's initial assessment of needs, guidance in confirming appropriate and realistic career goals and direction, giving access to government assisted programs, assistance for providing Job Search tools and ongoing job maintenance, Referral to other community services as required, and good collaboration with all my colleaguesStrong organizational skills, file care, and documentation.Active community volunteer "especially with Women and Girls" over many years.An appreciator of the Arts in all it's formsMy Goal was always to maintain a high level of service to all my clients, keeping myself well informed with current changes with the Labour Market, Tools and Technology and Programs.Thank you to all my Colleagues and Friends for their valued help over the years.Specialties: Strong ability for assessment of client needs Good sound plan development - appropriate, realistic and attainableAbilility to find common ground, the building of trust, effective communication.Discretion, impartiality and respect for client's privacyMy career at Focus was a very positive time with fond memories with both colleagues and clients, I look forward to the next stage in this adventure called "Life"
