My role at Jobsite is to elicit requirements from stakeholders in order to improve systems and processes and to implement new solutions. I work in an agile environment, creating user stories, and I have worked on both large and small projects, at all stages of the project lifecycle.In order to achieve the best results I have to liaise with all areas of the business to understand and then analyse the problem. This information can be gathered in workshops or interviews. I have an eye for detail, which can be both a benefit and a curse, but ultimately I strive to ensure nothing is overlooked.I write my documents with the target audience in mind, as I believe it should be both thorough and readable. This is crucial for successful sign-off and, ultimately, successful implementation of the changes. This is especially useful when producing documents for third parties, offshore developers and colleagues not based onsite.As well as functional and non-functional documentation, I produce process models and use case descriptions to relay back to the business, to confirm that we all have a common understanding. This ensures that the changes are correctly specified and the product delivered meets their expectations.Communication is key in a role like this as it's so important to be able to deal with people of all levels, both in person and written communication. I believe I'm approachable and think this been a great benefit to my role here.My strength is probably in front-end system design, so I often produce my own wireframes to support my proposals. As an ex-Lotus Notes developer, I can appreciate the challenges experienced by developers and designers. I work with a great team and feel it's important to enjoy work and have a good relationship with colleagues. Ultimately, it's a great feeling to solve a problem and be involved in making changes that are well received by customers.
