Action Against Hunger-USA is part of the Action Against Hunger International network, which provides nutrition-specific humanitarian relief and nutrition-sensitive development assistance in more than 40 countries worldwide. Action Against Hunger-USA, an independent NGO, currently manages operations in eight (8) countries: Kenya, South Sudan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cambodia, Tanzania, Uganda, Haiti. As such, their lives are often deeply and unnecessarily affected.The Cerebral Palsy Foundation defines and addresses Moments of Impact – the times at which interventions and insights, if properly implemented, have the power to change lives.We then work to better understand how to effect change and implement it. We seek out the best thinkers to form collaborative networks which work together to bring about transformation. Finally, we share our work with others so it will have the greatest possible impact.Our Collaborative Networks bring together many of the country’s most prestigious medical institutions, as well as innovative thinkers in diverse areas such as technology and media, in order to accelerate not only the development of critical advances, but also their delivery.While our work of course includes important strides being made toward the eventual prevention of cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities, our focus is on the translational research, clinical application and knowledge transfer that can dramatically change lives today.

I have over 14 years of experience within the social services field, working with adults and children with developmental disabilities as well as aging populations. In my role of Vice President of Marketing for a large market non-profit, I serve as the lead staff member for all of the agencies fundraising events. I have consistently increased the revenue generated increasing both event participation and financial donation levels. I have a strong ability to identify and direct collaborations between donors and philanthropic opportunities across multiple programs within an organization. I have established relationships, which have resulted in direct gifts, increased event participation and identification of capital campaign prospects. I am Raiser’s Edge trained in both general constituent usage and the event module. Additionally, I am responsible for printed materials, including flyers, posters, invitations, and promotional items for events and general agency usage. I have a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign which I utilize to design these items. I am responsible for overseeing the web content manager, donor relations manager, and clerical staff. As the project director of a health based website, www.mychildwithoutlimits.org, I led a diverse group of health professionals including doctors, nurses, and family members to develop health content in a family friendly format. I spoke at various conferences and seminars to engage and promote health awareness. Additionally, I coordinated the marketing strategy for a training manual for health care professionals titled Healhlink for Nurses, this included all collateral and speaking engagements.
