My name is Laura, I am originally from Denver, CO. Since then I have ventured out to eastern Idaho and now reside near Salt Lake City, UT. I enjoy spending time in the mountains either snowboarding or hiking. I also have a strong passion for music and spent many years of my youth participating in orchestras and piano recitals.When I was little I would only go to run errands with my mom if I would get food or a treat. I knew if she was going to the bank I had a really good shot at getting the most staple bank treat in existence, a dum-dum lollipop. Each time as I watched the tellers I would think to myself, “Wow! These bank tellers seem to have it together, maybe when I grow up I’ll do that!” Sure enough I ended up doing just that and have grown into so much more.The bulk of my career has consisted of working in the finance industry, more specifically working at the branch level with Wells Fargo. I have loved the flexibility that Wells Fargo has provided me as I’ve moved states. I get a lot of satisfaction when I help others achieve their goals, solve problems, and simplify processes, all of which I have been able to do in my different roles. Currently I am exploring a new role as banker to expand my knowledge and experience to eventually become a branch manager. I am the weird person that LOVES reading into policies and procedures, it is important to me to follow all laws and regulations to a tee. Many find it boring, but I view it as a crucial part of my role because it directly impacts the company. If I ever find an area of opportunity I am quick to coach and help my team.I currently am pursuing a degree in Business Management to gain more understanding of business operations and to hopefully put my knowledge to use in my career.I take everyday as an opportunity to learn and look forward to see what each day will bring me.
