I manage different aspects of an extensive genetics consortium on congenital heart disease. Analytical: planning and performing genetic analyses of complex and Mendelian diseases with big data from exome sequencing and genotyping arrays. Mentoring: big effort on supervising PhD and temporary students. Science communication: participation in small meetings and big conferences as the recent ASHG 2014 where I gave a platform presentation. Science writing: 4 papers published 2013-2014.

Psychiatric Institute

Performed genetic analysis of psychiatry diseases on large family and case-control based datasets working at the interface of neuroscience and genetics. Supervised technicians and students. My work had an important aspect of science writing with an influential review written in Annual Reviews of Medicine, an editorial on genetic testing for psychiatric diseases and three original research papers describing novel genes in schizophrenia etiology. Science communication both with scientists and non-scientists in the form of small meetings, lectures, discussion groups, and presentations in important scientific conferences.
