Program Lead for Hartford Healthcare Rehabilitation Network

• Review incoming resumes and cover letters, interview potential new physical therapists and administrators for our program• Govern and coordinate all shadowing opportunities at Marathon Physical Therapy for local and referring medical practitioners: physicians, nurses and physicians assistant• Maintained working relationship with Tufts Medical Center by treating their patients with pelvic floor dysfunction on-site (contract established/governed by Marathon Physical Therapy)• Implemented “consultation” service to help patients start the path to healing while on the waitlist to start pelvic floor physical therapy• Present evidence-based lectures to local physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers regarding perinatal and pelvic health with relation to physical therapy

• Evaluate and treat patients with women’s health diagnoses including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, dyspareunia, pudendal neuralgia, pelvic pain as well as pregnancy/postpartum musculoskeletal impairments• Treat women’s health patients utilizing educational materials, myofascial release, strain counterstrain, biofeedback, corrective taping, therapeutic exercise and relaxation principles• Present introductory group education course regarding the pelvic floor to new and current patients to relay knowledge and concepts pertaining to this field of physical therapy• Participate in monthly women’s health staff meetings to discuss complex patient cases, recent clinic updates and up-coming groups and presentations• Conducted weekly aquatic physical therapy classes to current patients to compliment progress made with land based physical therapy• Provide mentoring to new physical therapist(s) working with patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and the perinatal population

• Performed initial assessment/systems review of patients with various neurological diagnoses and orthopedic impairments at acute in-patient hospital• Designed and applied interventions utilizing principles specific to the neurological population such as motor learning, body weight

• Examined musculoskeletal impairments• Created and implemented plans of care, treatment protocols, and home exercise programs for patients• Applied modalities, taught therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy throughout the patients course of treatment
