Direct supervision of occupational therapy team of seven therapists providing continuous support and feedback to ensure most appropriate interventions for preschoolers with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Motor Dyspraxia, Down’s Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Global Delays. Monitor required documentation of clinical treatment sessions for 16 therapists across two sites. Supervise COTA, ensuring adherence to American Occupational Therapy Association and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy guidelines, including creating treatment plans for COTA’s 20+ student caseload and reviewing daily documentation and progress. Conduct preliminary screenings of at-risk students identified by families or school staff. Create sensory diets individualized to each child and train teachers and support staff on use; design sensory corners in classrooms; consult staff on effective sensory strategies within classroom environment.

Manage a caseload of 19-26 preschoolers according to their IEP mandate; maintain session notes, quarterly reports, annual progress reports, and IEPs using NYC DOE and KCSC software.Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to determine diagnosis and develop appropriate treatment plans for assigned children. Provide consultation on issues involving effective motor and sensory development to teaching staff and other related service staff. Provide counseling to families regarding their child's sensory and motor development and how best to ensure carryover in the home environment. Provide teletherapy services during school closure due to COVID-19 while maintaining best practice and timely documentation and serving as a resource for families during this time. Assisted in developing interventions for children aged 2-15 in fast-paced outpatient rehab setting, aimed at enhancing fine and gross motor skill development and sensory integration, administering assessments including the Active Movement Scale and Modified Mallet Scale.

Contributed to interventions targeting BADLs, orientation, and strengthening/conditioning for residents in a sub-acute and skilled nursing facility.
