Behavioral Health Access Unit DirectorResponsible to provide administrative oversight and supervision to the Access Unit, as well as developing, implementing and continuously improving access to and customer service for Woodland Centers’ outpatient mental health and psychiatry services.Mobile Crisis ResponderTrained to respond to mental health crises or emergencies with face-to-face assessment, de-escalation, intervention and stabilization services at home, school or in the community. Emergencies can be a behavioral, emotional or psychiatric situation needing a timely intervention to reduce the possibility of harm. Trained to provide necessary safety planning and short-term therapeutic services to assist in recovery from a crisis, along with helping develop individualized strategies for future concerns.Safety DirectorResponsible for creating, implementing and updating all safety policies and procedures, conducting safety drills and ensuring all employees comply with OSHA standards. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Initiated new policies and procedures resulting in significant improvement in appointment completion rates • Coordinate, prioritize and problem solve all internal and external referrals for Psychiatry and Outpatient Services• Developed and executed procedure to respond to walk-in, urgent and emergent cases which present at Woodland Centers• Created and facilitated safety committee with representation from all areas of the organization in order to insure proper buy in and implementation of safety initiatives.• Updated key policies and company safety manual• Analyzed company marketing strategy through data results, assisted in leading new marketing efforts to improve print material, social media and presence in the community.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Fostered meaningful relationships among students through individualized instruction and employed creative solutions for the academic needs of non-traditional students to improve retention• Initiated and executed $25,000 grant from Autism Speaks, securing internship and work experience positions for students diagnosed with ASD.• Created customized curriculum for special needs students based on specialized instructional techniques and technologies.• Co-spearheaded campus Lions Club, successfully recruiting and organizing members in providing a number of service projects, including Habitat for Humanity, Nicaragua Orphanage Fundraiser, and Special Olympics Polar Plunge.• Trained and supervised 12+ peer tutors to advance college retention goals while developing peer-tutoring program.• Researched and authored Supporting Students with Autism guidebook and Tutor Training manual. • Planned and executed annual Summer Bridge academic enhancement program.
