Part of the FA Education senior leadership group, in my current role within the learning and development team, I have grown the Game Insights team to six, increasing investment in the team from £34k to £254k per annum, managing key relationships and contracts with an external provider. The leadership skills I now possess, have led to cross-functional leadership, I sit in the coach development leadership team as well as manage the operational delivery team.Strategically I have managed the delivery of The FA's coach development framework, which will underpin the design and delivery of coaching education from grassroots through to senior football across the male, female, and disability pathways. This work is now influencing stakeholders across football including The Premier League, The Football League, the League Managers Association, and The Professional Footballers Association as part of the integrated coaching strategy to evolve education provision in the professional game.I am leading a working group to better connect the Grassroots Football Learning Landscape, connecting multi-modes of learning (podcasts, webinars, social channels, website, in-person events) into a simplified and easy-to-navigate offering underpinned by the coach development framework I have developed.The skills and experiences in my previous roles are being put to good use, I project managed and hosted 'England Football Learning, LIVE', FA Educations' inaugural virtual conference reducing the organisation cost per learner from face-to-face events by 65% while doubling the audience. I have grown our webinar offer, building engagement from an average audience of 200 to over 500 learners per event in the 23/24 season, this season we are reaching over 1000 learners per event.I enjoy the more strategic nature of my role as my career has progressed, whilst continuing to support the development of people through learning. I am excited to help the division reach it's future strategic goals.

I progressed into a leadership role in the Football Association's Education Division, establishing FA Educations Game Insights Team, securing investment and buy-in from across the division. I continued to value and recognise the importance of developing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, establishing new working processes, and embedding game insight into The FA's learning offer for coaches and practitioners.I gained strategic development skills, implementing and delivering performance analysis education for coaches within the UEFA qualification pathway in the professional game, and established an initial online provision to support coaches through my technical knowledge of football and learning expertise.These skills came into good use when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in early 2020. I led and managed the delivery of a full online learning offer, limiting the division's financial losses during this period and maintaining a connection and relationships with learners. For a period of 4 months, I led a team to transfer face-to-face learning experiences to an online provision, recording and delivering up to 6 webinars per week, bringing together internal and external stakeholders to design and present, whilst managing and implementing new technology.

The success of the performance analysis provision provided to England Teams led to the transfer of my role from Loughborough University to a full-time role with The Football Association, at the newly opened national football training centre at St Georges Park. With my passion for developing people and my expertise in football strategy and tactics, I progressed from a role directly supporting England teams to the role of Technical Analyst, designing and developing learning resources to support the tactical and technical development of coaches through professional coaching qualifications.I developed learning experiences to support professional coaches' understanding and application of video, data, and technology, critical knowledge and skills that are now fully embedded in the learning landscape offered to football coaches and practitioners today.

Loughbrough University

I saw an opportunity to progress my career when I was offered a role with Loughborough University to provide a performance analysis provision to England National Football Teams within The Football Association. I developed leadership capabilities through the provision of applied performance analysis services to England National Football age-group teams, often being the only female in a multi-disciplinary team. I progressed to leading the development of the international youth team analysis structure, recruiting, training, and developing future talented analysts who have gone on to establish successful careers with both club and international teams. The role further enhanced my ambition to support and develop people, through working directly with players, coaches, and performance professionals with the aim of creating successful winning teams.

I took the opportunity to leave my home in Shropshire and move to Bath and was thrilled to be offered a role at the University that enabled me to put the skills and knowledge I learned in my degree program into practice. This role enabled me to build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including The English Institute of Sport. It was here that I learned the value of creating an income stream, through the provision of a performance service for clients of the university.
