Inspired by my own personal passion for rock climbing, adventure, exploring off the beaten path and travelling into the unknown, Fernweh strives to create high quality, handmade products that bring a little bit of adventure into everyday life.Every single Fernweh piece is handcrafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, in house in the Fernweh studio in Aberdeen.

Receptionist at a thriving city centre hotel. Daily tasks include taking bookings from web/email/phone and creating them on our Hotelier system and checking in guests. invoicing for customers, completing the banking for the previous day and making floats for tills. Promoted to role of Head receptionist/Reservations after 5 months, where the role is focussed on dealing directly with oil companies regarding daily allocations, invoicing and making sure the hotel is as full as possible, creating revenue. High pressure, constantly busy role, where my organisation and great time management skills are tested. As the receptionist is often the only member of staff a guest may deal with, I feel it is of utmost importance to remain as professional as possible as all times, ensuring each guest has a fantastic a stay as possible.

Since founding my own eponymous label in July 2011, I have created my first ready-to-wear collection, & held my own debut fashion show. Exhibited this collection at a Pop-Up shop in Summer 2011 in Aberdeen, alongside other emerging design talent in the city. My graduate collection, "Neo-Apokalupsis", has been photographed by Vogue Italia published photographers. A futuristic collection, inspired by my passion for science fiction & the future, the resulting collection gave me experience working with a number of challenging materials, including leather, stingray leather and industrial fabrics such as silicone. Interned at London fashion week’s Esthetica highlight, Ada Zanditon, where I was part of a small design/production team whose main responsibilities were creating toiles & samples for next season’s collection and pre-collection. Also assissted withgrading patterns and final checking of patterns before being sent to the production factory to produce a sample. I was also trusted in aiding the manufacturing of in-house samples -includinghand sewing & finishings- for garments being sent to Zagreb for afashion show and liasing with the production factory and PR company.
