After voluntarily developing the brand's digital presence I was officially made a Digital Producer in 2014.Responsibilities -• Creating social media profiles for British Forces News and growing the audience extensively.• Worked on the digital strategy for the launch of 'Forces TV,' a new broadcast channel in the UK.• Producing visual content such as videos and infographics• Using analytical tools such as Chartbeat and Google Analytics to report to the senior management team.• Spotting good stories and taking editorial decisions.• Managing the brand's range of websites.Achievements -• Worked on the launch of a new TV channel• Produced some of the most popular content including Afghan Style, Harlem Shake (BFBS Edition) and Picture of the Day.• Trained traditional and sometimes stubborn Journalists to embrace digital.• Worked through difficult stories such as Fusilier Lee Rigby and the Marine A case.

After graduating I became a Production Assistant for BFBS in 2002.Responsibilities -• Assisting the Director and Editor throughout the day but most importantly during British Forces News.• Making sure British Forces News goes on air and off air on time.• Ensuring that graphics go on air with no mistakes.• Adapting at a moment’s notice when reports haven’t made it to air on time or when there are technical difficulties.• Spotting good stories that are popular with our audience and developing them.Achievements -• I have worked on several live shows including the Silence in the Square for Remembrance Day, The Combined Services Winter Sports at Meribel and the launch of HMS Elizabeth.• Produced some of the most popular content including videos like Harlem Shake (BFBS Edition) & Picture of the Day.• Dealt with Military guests.
