As a fund manager at Unseen Capital, I managed a $30M healthcare fund that focused on investing in underrepresented founders and those founders who prioritize underserved communities. My role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities, from providing strategic counsel on fundraising and business growth to managing the full lifecycle of investments—from initial vetting to funding execution in collaboration with fund administration.A key achievement was envisioning, securing alignment, and successfully leading the merger of Unseen Capital with Seae Ventures, amplifying our impact in the healthcare investment space while honoring the legacy of our founder and former GP, Kayode Owens.Additionally, I managed all aspects of the fund’s operations, including financial reporting, human resources, and compliance. I also oversaw relationships with legal, tax, and audit vendors and recruited and managed all employees and contractors at Unseen Capital. As an early team member at Airbnb, I led full-cycle recruiting for Product and Data Science, developing and executing strategies that grew the Product team from 7 to 50 (most of were Director+) and the Data Science team from 10 to 70. Alongside these efforts, I built and scaled my own recruiting team to 10. As the company evolved, I took on leadership of the Design recruiting team while continuing to manage Product.In my final year and a half, I expanded my role by architecting and project managing the resource allocation process across all tech functions, ensuring efficient talent deployment while continuing to oversee the Product and Design recruiting efforts.
