Sona is a web3 streaming protocol launching in early 2023 that leverage DeFi primitives to bring financial freedom to creators while democratizing music. Founded by Web3 product designer/strategist Laura Jaramillo and DJ/Producer TOKiMONSTA, Sona is a project by creators for creators.

Leading feature design and growth initiatives @ Upshot. Building the design system, working closely with leadership and our engineers defining process/features/tools, and mentorship. Pushing quality and craft while balancing business goals and user needs. At Upshot we're developing a robust source of truth for a variety of applications with crowdsourced insights from a network of decentralized experts. Upshot is a protocol that uses appraisal games to incentivize people to answer subjective questions honestly. Our first product aims to provide an efficient price-discovery mechanism for NFTs by paying experts for honest appraisals — unlocking new opportunities for experts and enabling a number of powerful new DeFi primitives at the forefront of this burgeoning space.

Design is universal. We all live and work in the built world, and every object, system and environment in the built world has been designed. Clever is a podcast about design. Well, actually, it's about designers, too. Sure, they're visionaries, problem-solvers, critical thinkers, rebels and aesthetes, but above all, they're human. As community manager I wear many hats and aid on the growth/engagement of our awesome listeners.

Currently developing a tool that facilitates open and healthy dialogue. Listen is a card game (and future app) that integrates mediation tactics into its framework to create a tool that does the brunt work of structuring a talk, so users can focus on finding resolution. The project was recently successfully funded on Kickstarter.• Head of a team of 3 international designers developing an award-winning interpersonal communication game that leverages game design as a mediation tool for individuals suffering relationship damage due to the stresses of quarantine during the pandemic crisis.• Designed the brand and fostered a substantial audience in 2 months.• Spearheaded a successful crowd-funding campaign which raised$17,000 in 30 days to nance the project.• Designed, executed, and optimized digital marketing campaign on Google's AdWords and Facebook ads, yielding 80% ROI improvements• Coordinated sales, manufacturing and fulfillment processes.

Generated marketing material and oversaw the Brazil Initiative brand for 4 years, greatly improving the organizations campus presence. Did extensive research on specific topics to insure all graphic material was culturally sensitive and appropriate for the events.

As a part of the Creative department, I work to come up with the advertising ideas and bring those ideas into being. I work closely with the Creative team to support various functions and initiatives including but not limited to:• Organize material samples• Sales performance research• Creating floor plan diagrams • Conducting interior redesigns and product allocations

Worked primarily on Project management, acquisitions, and furnitureredesign for Microsoft’s North America and Israel bundles. Was instrumental in finalizing the global furniture guidelines. Was also social media strategist for The Hive - Microsoft’s state of the art furniture testing facility.

Helped plan and organize annual Summit BIF conference. Also assisted with the organization and execution of Teacher4Equity Fellowship retreat, partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to engage teachers in creating and leading local communities of practice focused on issues of equity and closing opportunity and achievement gaps.
