Reading Specialist
CurrentTeaching a comprehensive, multisensory, systematic, explicit Structured Literacy program to students identified as struggling readers. Providing intense targeted Tier III interventions to small groups of K-5 elementary students who are significantly at-risk in the area of reading. Designing and effectively delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction that reflects observations and goals of individual children. Working with the RtI team and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment. Facilitating regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progress.
