I gained experience in different hotel departments; Service, Kitchen and Front Office.Front office: As a shiftleader I managed the Front Office, I trained and assisted my fellow students by explaining them the Hotel Concepts system and I coached and motivated them by setting goals every day. Besides that I made guest reservations, I assisted the hotel guests in check-ins and check-outs, I answered the phone, I guided tours through the hotel in different languages and I filled in daily reports. During these days I improved my leadership skills and communication skills.Service at restaurant L’étoile: I worked during breakfast- , lunch- and dinnershifts and in the hotelbar Le Coin. I set the tables, welcomed guests, served drinks and food at the table and made drinks in the bar. I learned how to deal with guest complaints.Kitchen: In the kitchen I was in charge of the dessert and the bar menu.
