In ‘The Migrant’, photographer Anaïs López tells the story of a bird's remarkable journey. But the project also tells a wider story about our treatment of animals, social engineering and our attempt to shape an ideal society. At the same time, it is a metaphor for our relationship with 'the migrant'.In this layered project, López uses audio, video, text and photography to take the audience on an unprecedented journey. The project consists of a web documentary, an exclusive book, a performance and - soon - an exhibition.

I help out Filmhuis Den Haag in developing and executing campaigns for specific events, products or target audiences.

De Asielzoekmachine is a transmedia project that explores the complex world of Dutch asylum policy. It consists of a web documentary (nominated for a Gouden Kalf for Beste Interactive film 2016), radio documentaries, a tv-documentary, exhibitions and a series of brainstorms.

Via PanAm is a a multi-platform, multi-media documentary photography project by Kadir van Lohuizen about migration in the Americas, produced by Paradox. Love Radio is a transmedia project about the complex process of reconciliation in post-genocide Rwanda, by photographer Anoek Steketee and writer/filmmaker Eefje Blankevoort. World Press Photo is a non-profit organization committed to supporting and advancing high standards in photojournalism and documentary photography worldwide. The education department aims to educate, enable and connect photojournalists so that they may share their stories with the world. It supports local organizations in regions where access to training is limited.Working in the educational department, my responsibilities included:• Organization of educational training programs for local photojournalists in Nigeria, Iran and Ethiopia (co-developing training programs, assisting local partners, planning, budgeting, evaluation, facilitating and moderating workshops, fundraising and reporting) • Organization of a workshop for 20 international young photojournalists• Editor and production coordinator for several photography exhibitions and on- and offline publications• Coordinating an outdoor-exhibition tour through The Netherlandswww.worldpressphoto.org
