How I found my true vocation and changed courseIt wasn't planned, but it is definitely one of the best things that has happened to me: a couple years ago I was in between jobs and, seeing that I have a passion for learning, I was asked to tutor a pair of siblings. Little did I know that with this little change (that was supposed to be temporary) I would find my true vocation.I have always had a passion for studying. In fact, I'm about to plunge into a PhD in Humanities because I *love* researching. But I didn't expect that teaching, especially teenagers and young adults, would be so satisfying. I discovered that I love listening to them, understanding their needs and struggles at learning, and working with them to find the perfect method for them to learn and understand. It also helps that because I like learning so much I am dead set on making it fun for them too. Whenever a student tells me they find a subject boring, I always reply: "That's because you haven't studied it with me".I find myself to be extremely fortunate to have found my true vocation and all my professional goals are now focused on expanding my teaching experience. I am ready for this adventure!
