I led a team (narrative designer, artist, composer, engineers) to design a 2D projection-mapped narrative game that received outstanding public sentiment at the Game Developers Conference and USC Games Expo with over 100 audience members viewing and playing the experience. I prototyped and designed the physical pop-up book controller that navigates the game by engineering Arduino boards and paper mechanics to deliver a final polished build. My team and I playtested the experience to assess the usability of the controller, identify gaps in understanding for the game mechanics and evaluate the UI using completion rates and qualitative feedback.

I was responsible for designing and animating end card graphics for various sponsors of the 2022 World Cup. After the end of the games, I was tasked to create weekly graphics for various teams at Fox Sports that included but were not limited to podcast intros, social media postings, television cards, and more. I ended my time at Fox Sports during the World Baseball Classic 2023 where I created inning transition graphics for television and social media.

I designed audio-reactive animated prototypes for in-vehicle displays that would represent different voice interaction states such as speaking, listening, and playing music. I also conducted and presented a competitive analysis of current market design collaboration tools to be used as a reference for future collaboration tools within the Automotive Experience department. I ended my time at SiriusXM analyzing current in-vehicle display interactions and ideated different designs that could improve visual accessibility without distractions. I was also able to explore Unity Game Engine as a design tool for alternative displays within the vehicle and documented my findings for future use and reference.

As the sole UX designer at Neu, a Seattle-based startup, I wireframed and designed the native dashboard interface from 0 to 1 for both mobile and desktop based on findings I pulled from conducting semi-structure interviews with Neu’s three user groups. During the last couple months of my time at Neu, I continued to refine my dashboard designs while also redesigning and developing the company website on Webflow.

My team and I interviewed nursing staff and patient families in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit to gather an in-depth understanding of their pain points with the patient discharge experience. We identified overarching themes from the interview data through affinity diagramming to pinpoint design opportunities that improve knowledge comprehension and tracking for discharge preparation and developed a set of research and design artifacts (journey map, patient charting system recommendations, discharge worksheet) for Seattle Children’s leadership to reference and implement.

I wireframed and designed new CTA and banner integrations for the desktop app and the introductory 'Free Preview' experience for the mobile app to convert trial users to the paid subscription. I spent time analyzing user onboarding usability tests and pulling key insights, collaborating with the UXR team. I also designed motion prototypes of the mobile streaming app to highlight ideal user flows and interactions.

As a part of a directed research team, I worked on a team of 4 researchers headed by Jason Yip, an iSchool professor at the University of Washington. We focused on the design question: "How do you define creepy technologies?" and worked with children that were a part of KidsTeam UW. Using participatory design, we explored and analyzed how these children responded to and designed for various “creepy” technologies. At the end of the research study, we focused on transcribing video footage of our design sessions for data analysis and distilled our findings into a research paper that was published and accepted into CHI 2019.
