As a Smithsonian summer intern, I published 10+ articles in order to inform readers on contemporary social issues including immigration policy and mental health. During the 50th annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival, which featured circus culture and immigration, I collaborated with our media team to develop an innovative series titled “Through Their Eyes.” I molded this series to feature extensive interviews with annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival participants to educate readers on circus culture and public policy.In the following school year, I continued to write for the Smithsonian, publishing articles that dove into the lives of American Dreamers and mental health policy in higher education.

Wrote 25 articles for weekly print and online circulation of roughly 30,000 readers to highlight relevant scientific achievements; conducted interviews and research on topics across Alzheimer's research, optogenetics and neurofeedback mechanisms, and politics of abortion and vaccinations
