Teach 3rd Year Conflict Resolution and 3rd Year Restorative Justice in the Faculty of Justice Studies

Consultant for, and Participation in, Sub-Committee of WRIDS, working on developing diversion programs for folks who are living with addiction and substance use in our community. Using research to implement a strength, social justice, restorative, holistic, trauma-informed, and health-based approach to issues and systems of addiction, poverty, homelessness, and mental health. Working and collaborating with Federal Crowns, Waterloo Regional Police, Attorney General, and John Howard Society, as well as networking with various other community agencies.

Part-Time Professor in the Faculty of Social and Community Services. Providing conflict resolution guidance, emotional and academic support. Implementing and following diversity, accessibility, equity, and inclusive practices, policies and procedures in my teaching and communication with students.

Co-Facilitating Circle Process Workshop with Dr. Jennifer Ball (professor, researcher, author). Goal of workshop is for participants to experience and learn about Circle, and moving forward to be able to implement Circle processes in their work and communities for community-building, decision-making, and conflict transformation.

Collaborating with, and presenting research to, Crowns, Police, and community agencies in order to advocate for, and effectively facilitate, trauma-informed, restorative, strength-based Pre-Charge and Post-Charge Diversion programs. Supporting clients to take responsibility for their choices and actions, while supporting them to grow and move forward. Connecting clients to community resources, agencies, and programming. Program development and research, in connection with Waterloo Region Integrated Drug Strategy (WRIDS). Facilitating and Teaching Workshops: Anger Management, Substance Use Awareness, and Back On Track Workshops (for CAMH).Changing unjust systems.

Sat on planning committee with Indigenous Justice Coordinators for honoring Residential School Survivors. Overseeing volunteers. Co-facilitated Transformative Mediation Workshop for volunteers. Facilitated Circle and Mediations.Changing unjust systems.

Designed and delivered trauma-informed programs for folks living in prison, in order to build skills, develop community, and improve healthy relationships. Supervision, and support, of volunteers. Program evaluation. Event planning.Changing unjust systems.

Teaching Assistant (TA) in Arts and Business 200. Managing student success in collaboration with instructor, grading assignments and exams, mentoring students in business practices, values, and social impact, and hosting guest speakers.

Promoting and supporting the local, and Canadian, arts community. Selling a variety of products made by Canadian artists and artisans. Programming workshops, gallery openings, and other events. Consulting with small business community and City of Waterloo on light rail transit (ION) construction and the impact on small business owners. Marketing Development in social media and print. Sold the gallery in order to devote my time and energy to graduate studies at University of Waterloo.

Consulting with owner on practices and procedures. Opened and closed the restaurant. Responsible for managing floor staff and balancing the cash register.

Auditioned for, was accepted into, and sang in a small, professional church choir. Responsible to learn and perform a large repertoire of classical choral music in a professional setting.

Caring for children from age newborn up through grade 6; providing them a safe and nurturing environment. Building relationships and community. Conflict Resolution, and empathy development. Providing meals, snacks, nap time, and activities. Tracking expenses, providing receipts.

Auditioned for, was accepted into, and sang in a small, professional choir for the month-long Elora Summer Festival, and for the following year-long season. Responsible to learn and perform a large repertoire of classical choral music in high-pressure, professional settings in different cities in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and BC. Performed with internationally renowned soloists and instrumentalists.
