LA Smit Projects is focussed on consulting in the field of Transportation, Logistics and Infrastructure. One project I consulted for was the Researchlab Automated Driving Delft (as a part of TU Delft). Almost from the beginning of this researchlab I am involved in expanding this lab en organizing events for companies who are interested in seeing the development of automated driving.

I conducted a research into the challenges of Mobility-as-a-Service in the Netherlands. This was the final phase of my masters program (Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics). The result can be found in the paper below.

In the summer of 2017 a group of 24 students and two professors went on a three week trip to Asia. We visited a lot of interesting companies in the field of transportation, infrastructure and logistics. As the chairman of the committee I was responsible for the planning and structure of the organizing of the trip.

For my master degree I did an interdisciplinary project at PostNL. The project was focused on the optimization of the emballage flow at the letter department.

During the period of October 2015 - March 2016 I assisted Lyceo with the design of the books that are used in the exam trainings. From November 2016 until January I did the same assignment.

Every year during exam periods I give courses in mathematics for high school students who are struggling with this specific course.

During a period of three months I did a project at Fokker Services B.V.. This project was for a course of my master at the Delft University of Technology. It involved the optimization of a supply chain with the use of lean management.

For the study association of the master (Dispuut Verkeer) a magazine is made four times a year called the Fly-Over. I was member of the committee responsible to make this magazine. My specific job was to design the magazine. This has taught me how to use the progam Indesign.

During my studies I always did a part-time job in order to earn some money, but also to improve my social skills and skills to work in a team. This job included to serve costumers and keep the store tidy.

In order to give first-year students a good start student mentors are needed to give them information and show them around.
