Laureen’s inspiration for her painting and photography tends to evolve from the natural world. Her work ranges from realistic to somewhat abstract, while experimenting with a variety of acrylic mediums and digital imagery techniques. She comes to the art world after a successful career in the U.S. Navy. As a helicopter pilot, she flew from coast to coast of the continental U.S., as well as in Hawaii, and countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, Africa, Haiti and many Middle Eastern countries, all the while gaining invaluable life experiences and exposure to sights around the world. Once she retired as a Commander and helped her family settle in Northern Kentucky, Laureen was able to focus on her new career as an artist.Specialties: acrylic painting, mixed media, photography, digital imagery, creative writer
