Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Throughout my time in the workforce, I have been fortunate to experience a variety of professional and educational fields. Within the business world, I began work in banking through Wells Fargo, served as the Office Manager for a small insurance brokerage firm, and finished as the Executive Secretary for Barvista Building Systems, a module home builder in Colorado. The majority of my professional career has been spent in the classroom in a variety of roles. I began working in middle and high school at a small private school. There I also coached a multitude of sports including basketball, cross country, and track. From there, I worked as the Literacy Coach and Intervention Specialist at Skyview School of STEM in Windsor, CO. I worked with small groups of students, lead professional development, and served as the assessment coordinator. I then returned to high school and spent five years as an English teacher at Windsor High School where I also served as the interventionist for our department. I made the move out of the classroom in 2019 as the Secondary TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) for the Department of Instruction I Weld RE4. The growth and experience I gained in and out of the classroom have lead me to my current role at the Assistant Principal at Riverview PK-8 in the Thompson School District.Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with my husband and teenage son. When You can often find us on the various trails of the Colorado Rockies hiking, camping, fishing, and enjoying the amazing views.
