The University of Vermont Health Network is an integrated health system serving the residents of Vermont and northern New York with a shared mission: working together, we improve people’s lives. The Network comprises an academic medical center, five community hospitals, a multi-disciplinary medical group and a home, health and hospice agency.I serve as the primary communications leader and partner to the UVMHN Medical Group and the primary connection to the academic and research mission of the UVM Larner College of Medicine. I also lead communications strategy for the Network-level Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. I lead and oversee the work of multi-disciplinary teams to create and execute robust communications plans in support of priority initiatives and change management.

They fulfill this mission by providing a continuum of behavioral health treatment and support services for children and adults, including parenting education classes, a nationally accredited preschool, outpatient mental health therapy, substance abuse treatment, intensive residential treatment, foster care and adoption.I supported this mission by ensuring that The Village reached children, families and adults in need, partnered with other providers and thought leaders to improve mental health services, and engaged a community of supporters to bolster this transformative work. I oversaw the work of a small but mighty, highly productive communications team.

Certified in hatha yoga, I received additional training in trauma-informed yoga and yoga for children with special needs.I helped my students use breath and movement to establish a dialog between their bodies and minds. My greatest joy was teaching chair yoga to help my colleagues build resilience and children's yoga to help children in residential behavioral health treatment strengthen their coping skills.
