Locum physiotherapist at Hands-On Rehabilitation centre in Harare, Zimbabwe

I completed 6x 6week student physiotherapy placements in a variety of settings around the south east of England as part of my Masters degree and completed over a 1000 hours of practical experience. These were: Care of the elderly, Acute respiratory management, Inpatient subacute and chronic neurological rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal outpatients, Paediatric special needs school.As part of the placements i was able to manage my own case load and and work within a muiti-diciplinary team in a variety of environments. I gained experience using different tools and skills learnt in physiotherapy and applied my knowledge in these settings. I was also fortunate enough to gain experience in Hydrotherapy with some of these population groups and learnt a great deal from experienced physiotherapists in the field. During this time I was assessed on competencies, interpersonal skills, professionalism, treatment management and clinical reasoning. I was expected to bring forward current research and to present a case study to the team on a patient of choice at the end of the placement.
