I am a global change ecologist working on a PhD in Integrative Biology at University of Colorado, Denver. Broadly speaking I am interested in how ecosystems respond to changing climate. Currently I'm researching limber pine (Pinus flexilis) at treeline in Rocky Mountain National Park - a system known to be sensitive to changes in average temperature. Using a combination of field studies, remote sensing imagery, and advanced statistical modeling, I aim to determine which variables best explain limber pine's patchy distribution at treeline to inform distributional modeling for this important species under changing climate. My work may aid restoration and conservation management of limber pine as white pine blister rust spreads through the park.
