About Laurel Talabere

Experienced RN for nearly 60 years, and nursing educator for over 40 years. During that time, I was also a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 20 years and a Clinical Nurse Specialist for 5 years. Academic degrees include a BSN from the University of Connecticut, and a MS in Nursing and a PhD in Education from The Ohio State University. Prior to my current position of teaching NCLEX RN and PN Review courses for Kaplan, I was Professor of Nursing at Capital University where I taught for 29 years, and also served as Associate Dean of Nursing for 6 years. Both my Fulbright assignments, one as a Visiting Professor and one as a Nursing Consultant, took me to the University of the West Indies School of Nursing in Kingston, Jamaica. I have conducted many local, regional and international workshops, published four book chapters and numerous articles, and served on the American Lung Association of Ohio Board and the National Asthma Educators Certification Board.
