Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the historic Bears Inn Bed & Breakfast is the perfect combination of rustic elegance with classic charm. Built in the 1920s, The Bears Inn has eleven enchanting guest rooms, all with private baths, as well as a detached two-bedroom cabin. We specialize in creative gourmet breakfasts, which make delicious starts to eventful days. The Inn also features a gas fireplace, several outdoor gas campfires, a hot tub, a large pavilion, and gorgeous views of Mt. Evans.As an Innkeeper I work directly with the owner and manage the day to day operations of a hotel/lodge. Imagine running a household of 24-28 people, providing them a three-course breakfast each day with unique table settings, coordinating housekeeping, creating a warm and inviting environment while playing hostess to our guests, and still managing the entire business side of our Inn. Everyday is a new experience and a true delight to be in such a wonderful atmosphere. Along with the responsibilities of managing the Inn, I have taken over the social media and marketing side of our business. With a little tutorship from the Owner's husband, I have built an entirely new website which has just recently been launched.

Plan, execute and manage all aspects of events and conferences including contract review and negotiation, internet, AV, space planning, food and beverage, production and staffing. Communicate on a regular basis with clients and external planning/program committees to meet their needs and specifications.Adept at working on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders at once, and able to prioritize and make the best use of time.Maintain performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling.Interview, hire and train personnel. Write weekly schedule for 40+ FOH staff members. Promptly and professionally handle guest comments and suggestions. Practice safe food handling procedures and enforce safety procedures in restaurant.Ensure high standards of customer service and profitability.
