I am currently a junior at the University of Notre Dame, having recently completed my first semester as an Applied Computational and Mathematical Statistics major and being named to the Dean's List. My previous two years were spent as a Chemical Engineering major, but my interest in the complex computational problem solving, as well as capitalizing on my interpersonal skills, prompted my transition. As a decorated athlete and student, I pride myself on my ability to function within a team while still adapting to challenges, as well as recognizing times where I can be an effective leader. This was furthered by taking on coaching positions in lacrosse and a tutoring position at Notre Dame, working specifically with student-athlethes. I also gained perspective working for a small-business that specialized in health and fitness classes, where I completely revamped their social media presence as well as organized daily administrative tasks. I am seeking an internship for this coming summer where I can further ascertain my niche in the biotechnology or life science industries and gain experience working for an innovative, creative team.
