•Engaged, instructed, and team-taught secondary-aged students in Standard and Honors World History 2, U.S. and Virginia History, and U.S. and Virginia Government•Led a team of teachers in multiple content areas to analyze data in order to coordinate Tier II supports and adapt skills-focused project based relevant learning, incorporating Blooms Taxonomy to increase comprehension •Coordinated “On Track to Graduate” and planned events for 70+ at risk students by coordinating with individuals in the school building and in the community to create meaningful experiences•Facilitated and created lessons focusing on Project-Based Learning to align with Fairfax County and Virginia Standards of Learning; designed guides for teachers returning to in-person education, as well as lessons to support educators in exploring areas that are not covered by the Virginia Standards of Learning •Conducted small group and individual classroom activities with students based on differentiated learning needs to ensure all students achieve their full learning potential •Contributed to and engaged in collaborative team meetings with other history teachers to modify or develop new lessons, assess student progress, analyze unit tests, and create intervention plans for struggling students •Developed Project-Based Learning curriculum in conjunction with educators and subject matter experts from around the country for use nationally•Served as a leader of an Equity Subcommittee focusing on Curriculum and Development, facilitating a focus group on relevant and culturally responsive teaching strategies for teachers throughout the school •Implemented lessons using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate various students learning modalities
