I will graduate with my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Mathematics Education and initial CA Single Subject Foundational-Level Mathematics teaching license (with EL Authorization) from Western Governor’s University in May 2024, and I am a 2020 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with BS of Business from majors in Finance and International Business. I have an extensive history of coaching experience, and I am motivated to begin my career as a school educator. My main passions include problem solving, helping people, education, and building positive connections. I am currently a student teacher at R.J. Fisher Middle School, and I am employed at Todd Dissly Athletics as an Associate Professional. I have experience in the corporate world from my time at Armanino LLP and Bank of America. During my school years, I was a tennis instructor and stringer at the Indiana University Tennis Center. I was an active member in the Student Accounting Society and the Women’s Network clubs at IU. During the Spring 2019 semester, I studied abroad in London, England. My interests and hobbies include photography, travel, and coaching/playing tennis. I hope to pursue a career in the education industry.During my observation and student teaching opportunities, I have learned invaluable teaching skills of lesson planning, technology integration, differentiated instruction, using assessment to inform instruction and building relationships. I have been trained in multiple technological education tools and am able to integrate multiple types of technology seamlessly into lessons. My teaching philosophy is based on culturally responsive, student-centered, and collaborative learning. My instruction methods are based on differentiation for student needs and creating rapport with students, and it incorporates students’ personal and cultural assets to engage students in learning.
