I am an economist and portfolio strategist, focused on cross-asset and international analysis. Making finance a more diverse and inclusive profession is near to my heart. I am a passionate worker, speaker, and manager, and am one of the perhaps very few people in the world who genuinely enjoys monetary policy press conferences. I am currently the Director of Portfolio Strategy on New York Life Investments' Multi-Asset Solutions team. My team is responsible for research, macro and asset class views, asset allocation, and thought leadership. I particularly enjoy working with our investment boutiques on insights, strategy, and solutions. Throughout my career, I have linked the macroeconomic environment to investment decisions, whether in banking, corporate strategy, policymaking, or asset management. I have extensive quantitative and forecasting experience, but pride myself on translating that experience to actionable insight. In some cases – working with emerging markets or geopolitical scenarios – data isn’t perfect. My research has created new ways for incorporating complex risk into effective strategy and portfolio planning. I’m a regular contributor to print and television media sources, and enjoy presenting and meeting with our agents and clients.
