On a daily basis I am responsible for balancing multiple clients' needs. I conduct media clipping, draft & distribute press releases, monthly listings, newsletters, media alerts & pitches to local & national media contacts; communicate directly with clients & members of the media as well as coordinate appearances (broadcast segments, magazine interviews, interviews over the phone, photo shoots at venues, etc.) for clients and accompany the client to act as a liaison during scheduled appearances. I have also mentored a team of multiple interns by providing insight into the PR industry. I wrote weekly blog posts for Vegas411.com & Justtahoe.com. I was responsible for pitching my own ideas, researching, self-editing, posting directly to the site through WordPress, and self-managing to meet deadlines.

As an administrative assistant I handled clerical work, made sure that mobile notaries send out their documents on time, and made sure we received proper payment for completed orders. I also wrote, edited, and conducted SEO optimization for the content on the company’s website.

I assisted UNLV's Marketing & Communications team with their project to update the university's "Academically Cool" webpage. This involved reaching out to several faculty members, cultivating relationships, interviewing, researching, searching through photo archives, and writing descriptions for the unique classes that the university offers.

As an intern I wrote one article per month for Food & Beverage Magazine's digital issues. I was given an assignment and told who to contact, from there I would schedule and conduct interviews with my subjects, write articles, and self-edit. I also posted press releases to the site using WordPress.

As an intern I attended and participated in staff meetings, pitched my own ideas, conducted my own interviews, wrote small features, longer length profiles, and collaborated with editors.
