As a librarian at the State Historical Society of Missouri, I revamped our newspaper collection, cataloging the newspapers and preparing them for microfilming. This included current and historic newspapers, for which I did item record cataloging for tens of thousands of rolls of microfilm, bound volumes, and single issues of newspapers. I also did original cataloging for new titles and previously uncataloged historic titles. I worked with students and teachers before and during National History Day in Missouri, assisting them with projects, working at the event, and being a judge. I helped organize and worked at Trick or Treat Through Missouri History.I was the volunteer coordinator for 20-25 volunteers, welcoming them into the State Historical Society, organizing projects, schedules, and appreciation events. I provided excellent service to assist on-site and off-site patrons with our extensive collection of manuscripts, newspapers, and published materials.I assisted in other projects and events as needed. For instance I prepared microfilm and bound volumes of newspapers, as well as other published works, to move to the State Historical Society’s new building in the summer of 2019.

I provided lesson planning assistance for kindergarten-twelfth grade teachers. I assisted by finding age appropriate websites on topics requested by Missouri teachers who were part of the eMINTS program. I also trained new staff and updated the links in previously created topics.
