Lauren Swetland, CMP, CAE has ten years of experience managing nonprofit associations, with a proven track record of leveraging all possible resources to ensure that nonprofits achieve their strategic goals for increased membership, financial stability, and successful annual conferences. She has managed annual conventions, supervised staff, secured sponsors, created project management timelines, and oversaw combined budgets of over $2 million. In her former role of Vice President of Hempstead and Associates, Association Management Company, she managed more than fifteen different local, state, national and international associations. Her primary role was that of Assistant Executive Director of the Science Teachers Association of Texas. She managed their Conference for the Advancement of Science Teachers, a convention of 7,000 science educators in the state of Texas with 750 breakouts (65 concurrent). She received the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in 2010 and earned the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) in 2013.
