 Responsible for end to end recruitment process, including organising the training of new recruits. Organising new initiatives for briefing and training workshops for all 900 staff to communicate new changes. Leading reviews into current working practises into engagement of staff, disability and the sickness process. Being the first contact point for staff with HR related queries and dealing with all HR administration. Minute grievance procedures and absence management meetings. Maintain, update and correct employee data using NSPIS and You in View mailbox. Responsible for maintaining sickness and risk assessments trackers as well as diversity monitoring and raising any issues with the HR manager. Working on ad hoc projects as and when required

A diverse and demanding role assisting the largest unit within the Transportation sector. Responsible for maintaining the Maternity, Paternity and leavers process in accordance with Mott MacDonald policies. Producing contracts of employment, contracts for services and short and long tour assignments.  Working with lawyers to secure Work Permits and related procedures as well as advising relevant staff of the WRS process. Responsible for preparing documentation and letters for contractual changes, extensions and transfers, promotions and salary increases, ensuring that Salaries, Pensions and the HR Central Services team are kept informed of event changes. Dealing with queries from staff regarding all Human Resource processes including Pay and benefits. Providing ad hoc support to HR manager and HR avisors as required

As part of University degree a full time one-year placement was secured as an Industrial Placement student within Group IT and Group Operations Human Resources Department. Worked in Human Resources as part of the Relations and Engagement team, role was to support the team in analysing engagement data, working with business representatives to manage improvement actions and managing the staff recognition system. Sole Manager of the Group wide staff recognition programme, managing the programme daily as well as being responsible for the process of transforming the system to better suit the company needs.  Worked with business representatives to help manage change across departments whilst ensuring staff engagement remained high. Responsible for the administrative side of the relations team to help support major offshoring initiatives. Tasks included organising meetings across the country with Union officials, creating the minutes from Union meetings as well as organising events with directors to communicate the changes. Worked with external vendors to create a new staff engagement survey. Quarterly production and analysis of engagement scores for directors and staff. Assisting senior members of the Human Resources team, going beyond job role helping with ad-hoc tasks and queries. Used own time and initiative to organise a placement student forum for networking, training and sharing of best practise.
