I have 5 years in alternative education in a student-paced, blended/online setting. Due to the non-traditional nature of our school program, I was able to gain vast knowledge in Google WorkSpace, Instructure Canvas, and many other educational programs. During my time at this program, I have re-written the English 2 content and created two new senior English options. I currently also lead the ELAR portion of the advanced academics/college readiness for my campus. This specific program has improved our College Career Military Readiness by 300%. I completed my M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis on Urban Learning in Spring of 2022. I am excited to continue on towards a doctorate in education focusing in online learning. I am life-long learner who adapts to new situations and enjoys challenges to overcome. I enjoy developing new curriculum, creating tutorials, and coaching to see peer and student success. I am committed to not only my own betterment, but the constant improvement of my team.

  I have spent the majority of my time as an English 2 teacher specializing in developing blended learning curriculum in our alternative setting. In the past year, I have also worked as the project manager the Language Arts side of a school-wide implementation for a state-wide college preparatory program. I have extensive knowledge and experience in Google G Suite, Canvas, and multiple other educational programs. During my time with my school, I have developed our school's journalism and creative writing programs successfully. In addition to that, I have increased our students' ELAR state testing rate by roughly 400%.
