Lauren Soderberg has a background in high performance sport spanning the past 15 years. A previous athlete turned coach , Lauren established herself on the world stage professionally taking a little known Pacific Island nation VANUATU from no world ranking back in 2008 to securing multiple podium finishes, the country's first FIVB gold medal and a top 10 result at the 2015 World Championships. Lauren is an international Coaching Instructor and Coach Developer with an impressive 23 international coaching medals accumulated. Lauren became the first Australian woman to coach at Olympic level in her sport of beach volleyball in 2016 when she qualified her Australian team into the Rio Olympics. Lauren went on to manage Volleyball Australia's Asia / Pacific Partnership program working closely with the Australian DFAT to deliver sport for development projects in the Asia Pacific region. Coming back into high performance in Europe, Lauren thoroughly enjoyed working as the Technical Head Coach and Coach Developer at Copenhagen Beach, Denmark and In the Danish National indoor volleyball League as head coach for Brøndby Volleyball Club. Currently Lauren is working as Head of Influence, as part of the Choice for Women division of international NGO Coaches Across Continents. Using the power of sport for positive social impact to assist in the achievement of the UNSGD's, Lauren is thrilled to be able to use her expertise to assist governments and confederations on gender policy design, and corporations to achieve meaningful impact through corporate social purpose projects all aimed at achieving UNSDG 5 , Gender Equality.
