I worked with Business Consultants and Brokers to push cases through underwriting and get them active and on risk. My role included speaking to underwriters, chasing GP surgeries and liaising with financial advisers. I gained a lot of knowledge about the financial services industry during my time in this role and passed the 'LP2 Financial Services Products and Solutions' exam, which gave me an overview of the products that are currently available and also an understanding of the process used to identify the appropriate financial solution for consumers.

After leaving Payplan for a short time I returned and eventually became a team leader, leading a team of up to 8 people, this included completing one to ones and appraisals, setting targets and interviewing potential employees.

I worked at the Grantham Journal for a short period, during my time there I sold advertising space to local businesses in the area. Unfortunately it was not the right time to make a change in my career path and I returned to my previous employment, I learnt valuable skills during the short amount of time I worked here.

I started at Payplan as an Admin Assistant and eventually became a Case Officer which involved preparing IVA proposals for client's who were struggling to repay their debts.
