My position at Cairns Regional Council was Senior Engineer - Design and I was responsible for the delivery of the design portfolio of the Water and Waste Capital Expenditure Program. My role includes:- Overall management of the design portfolio of the FY17/18 and FY18/19 projects (75 projects)- Project management of over 30 design consultancies across FY17/18 and FY18/19- Management of a small team of engineers and sub-consultants- Budget planning for future financial years- Scoping, stakeholder consultation, preparation of RFQs, procurement management, tender evaluation, management of tender award, administration of consultancy agreements and contracts throughout the delivery phase, and project capitalisation- Change management including variation and EOT management- Provision of technical advice and support- Delegated authority as Superintendent's Representative - Contract inspector role including site inspections and sign off (February 2017 - June 2017)- Acting Principal Engineer and Superintendent (August 2017 - September 2017 & April 2019 - May 2019)

As a project engineer at Aurecon, my roles have included being Project Leader, Project Manager, and Superintendent's Representative on a number of projects within Far North Queensland.The technical aspects of these roles includes:- Subdivison design including earthworks, pavements (CIRCLY), roads, water reticulation (Epanet and Watercad), sewerage reticulation (incl. vacuum sewers), sewage pump stations, stormwater drainage modelling (PCDrain and HEC-RAS), and coordination with electrical and comms services at Smithfield Village, Mount Peter Estate, Sugarworld Glen and Wattle Terrace- Demand and capacity based assessments of existing and future water networks, sewer networks and water reservoirs- Water network modelling using Epanet and WaterCAD- Preparation of a Demand Management Plan, Strategic Asset Management Plan, Drinking Water Quality Management Plan, Drought Management Plan, Customer Service Standards, Annual Performance Report and Annual Drinking Water Quality Performance Report- Updating of Standard Operating Procedures for dams- Development of prioritisation strategies for existing water and sewer asset upgrades, formal presentations, facilitation of workshops, and preparation of successful funding submissions under the Building Our Regions (BOR) program- Concept and detailed design of water and sewer infrastructure in accordance with the requirements of FNQROC, WSA, Australian Standards and best practice- Preparation of technical reports including engineering design reports, specifications, Op Works applications and Works Acceptance submissions- Preparation of Tender Briefs and management of the procurement and tender assessment phases- Facilitation of sub-consultant agreements and management of sub-consultants- Completion of inspections during construction to ensure compliance of the works with the design intent- Undertaking Project Manager, Contract Administrator and Superintendent's Representative roles during construction

Lead civil design engineer responsible for design of earthworks, retaining walls, building pads, piling platforms, in-ground stormwater and gravity sewer reticulation, overland flow of stormwater through swales, table drains and culverts, rigid and flexible pavements, roads and carparks.Lead design engineer on a number of civil projects ranging from small projects with extremely tight budgets and timeframes such as the Government’s ‘Building the Education Revolution’ program, to large scale, political projects such as the Cairns Base Hospital Redevelopment.
