Managing the Living Well with Arthritis volunteer-led services across England. Up to 90 different regular activities all over the country for people with arthritis. Services include: peer support meetings online and in person, information sessions led by healthcare professionals, social activities, physical activity including hydrotherapy and exercise in water, walking groups, yoga etc. Proud to work with an amazing team of up to 8 staff and over 150 volunteers.

Completing two research projects for Devon Insight during July, including a 60 page report summarising the state of eye health and sight loss across the South West, in order to influence commissioning and service planning and promote join up across the sector.

Managing the implementation of the England Vision Strategy priorities across the southern half of England, working closely with national and local organisations including Local Eye Health Networks, NHS Commissioners, Public Health, Healthwatch, Local Optical Committees, local authority sensory teams and the third sector. Key achievements so far: • Developed 10 inclusive regional groups across the southern half of England with a line of sight to commissioners from local authorities and NHS. Groups work with people with lived experience, NHS, social care, Healthwatch, Public Health and the third sector. • Produced 12 Evidence Base reports or Key Portfolio Indicator documents with a range of stakeholders. Evidence Bases influence commissioning and service design in a local area, leading to outcomes such as a new ECLO service or improved child vision screening. • Synthesised a range of evidence for meetings and reports to influence local and national policy on issues such as SEND education, access to health services and social services.

To develop and manage marketing plans and activities to drive service demand and relevancy to blind and partially sighted children, young people, their families and key professionals through the new Blind Children UK brand through B2C and B2B marketing and communications. Key projects have included:* Leading on customer marketing research and segmentation for Blind Children UK* Piloting a social media outreach role and developing the YouTube channel through case study videos* Developing a CRM and process for managing professional contacts* Growing sales of large print books by nearly 50% on 2014 figures* Managing outreach through conferences and exhibitions, building a list of key influencers* Supporting the development of new services and continuous improvement of existing services* Building a broad marketing reporting model

Working within the Innovation Team, responsible for managing the marketing for the My Guide sighted guide service and Children and Young People's services being delivered by Blind Children UK. Key projects included:* Developing the My Guide brand guidelines, key messages and naming conventions, in collaboration with other staff. * Creating a suite of new collateral for My Guide, including a new section of the website, training manuals and advice for front line staff. * Promoting the My Guide service and volunteering offer through case study videos.* Involvement in the Programme Team responsible for integrating the new charity The National Blind Children's Society (NBCS), supporting with new collateral, developing internal communications and learning and development, developing services such as training materials for Parent Guidance days* Working closely with the team on the Blind Children UK re-brand from NBCS, including developing all new collateral, the services section of the website and launching the new brand to the sector at the VISION 2020 conference in 2014.

As Community Fundraiser I was responsible for community-based fundraising in Wiltshire and Dorset. Working with teams of volunteers and third party fundraisers, I met challenging targets. I was heavily involved in volunteer recruitment, training and development. I undertook local PR and communications. I was involved with promoting and managing a wide variety of fundraising products including Name a Puppy. I supported other fundraising streams such as corporate and third party fundraising and legacy development. I trained and managed a team of volunteer speakers.Guide Dogs provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. We also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research.

As Education Programme Manager I planned, developed, wrote and marketed education or training programmes and information sheets for various stakeholder groups such as aged care facilities, transport agencies and schools. I built networks both internally and externally to research, develop and promote the education resources working closely with the Communications Team and the wider organisation. I managed each education resource as a project including handling budgeting. Blind Foundation is New Zealand's primary provider of vision-related habilitation and rehabilitation services to blind and partially sighted people.Each year nearly 1,200 New Zealanders who have gone blind or experienced serious sight loss register as members. Blind Foundation equips its over11,000 members with the adaptive skills, technology and resources they need to create new beginnings and lead independent lives.

As Director of Development I was responsible for creating and managing a contacts database, rebranding and revising all marketing collateral and creating a new website. I managed a substantial budget and worked with contractors. During my tenure, enrolments of new students rose markedly. I • Developed the sponsorship policy and contract template including negotiating contracts for 15 new sponsors.As Director of International Students, I was responsible for recruiting and supporting international students from Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan and Taiwan, managing contracts with international agents. Sunderland is a high quality independent School and College which opened at the former Waitakere City Council complex in Waipareira Ave in Henderson in February 2007. Strategically located for convenient access for families in the western areas of Auckland, Sunderland is a secular, uniformed, co-educational day school, catering for primary school and secondary college students. Sunderland provides outstanding opportunities for academic, cultural and sporting achievement.

In this role I embraced a wide remit including service development, managing up to 1000 volunteers and five staff plus four contractors. Other tasks included marketing, communications and fund-raising as well as writing and running training courses for hundreds of volunteers every year. I also managed the development of and wrote a Christian values education curriculum for primary school students.The Churches Education Commission works with local churches to 'Help students make good life choices' through Chaplaincy and Christian Religious Education.

I taught English Year 9 to Year 12, had a mixed age form class, taught Year 13 Sociology and Psychology, ran the school Christian Club, trained a group for the Sheila Winn Shakespeare Festival and worked with the orchestra, including overseas travel and the school production.Pakuranga College is an exceptional school because there is a balance between demanding the highest academic and behavioural standards and expecting students, staff and parents to be accountable for their actions.
